 INTRODUCTION

Air pressure is one of the most important parameters in the operation and control of most industrial processes, and allied services and utilities. Not only must the pressure measuring instruments be designed to be inherently accurate and reliable, they must also be periodically calibrated so as to ensure continued reliable and accurate measurements. The digital pressure instruments described on these pages are excellent microprocessor based instruments, which have been designed taking into consideration these criteria.

INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS

Model PSI-PC 1  Digital Pressure Calibrator

Model PSI-PC 1  is a microprocessor based instrument which employs highly stable, temperature compensated pressure sensors to afford excellent accuracy of +/-0.1% FS. With its high stability and reproducibility, Model PSI-PC 1  is an excellent instrument which is used for calibration of pressure meters and indicators.

Model PSI-PC 1  can be specially customized to give accuracy of 0.05% FS for more demanding calibration requirements.

Model PSI-MUPM 1 Digital Multi Unit Pressure Meter

Model PSI-MUPM 1 is a series of battery operated, microprocessor based, portable digital pressure meters, which are capable of measurement accuracy of  +/-0.5% of FS and displaying the measured pressure on a 32 Character A/N LCD display in user selectable units from 11 most common pressure units. The selected unit remains stored in the internal non-volatile memory.

The various meters comprising the series are all basically similar except for the measuring range, which depends upon the pressure sensor used. Sensors with pressure ranges from as low as 0-0.3PSI to 0-5000PSI can be adapted. The normally available ranges include 0-0.3 PSI, 0-0.8 PSI, 0-1 PSI, 0-3 PSI,0-5 PSI, 0-15 PSI, 0-30 PSI, 0-100 PSI and 0-150 PSI for differential pressure measurement. Higher ranges are available for gauge pressure measurements

Model PSI-DPG Digital Pressure Indicator & Controller

Model PSI-DPG is a mains-operated, microprocessor based pressure indicator and controller, which finds applications in industrial processes where accurate indication of pressure of expensive gases and air is required. It has also features, which enable it for use in On/Off control applications. It is programmable for 2 independent alarm settings, provides potential free relay contacts for each alarm with delay times settable from 0 to 50 seconds and hysterisis settable from 5% to 20% and the facility for user-defined averaging of measurements to take care of fluctuations of the same.

Model PSI-PP X PNEUMATIC PRESSURE PUMPS

Model PSI-PP X are light-weight pneumatic pumps which are used to generate air pressure required for testing and calibration of pressure meters. Model PSI-PP 1 generates a maximum pressure of 100 psig whereas Model PSI-PP 2 can generate as high as 25 kg air pressure.
