Application
Model PEM-ADS 2.5 micron is an advanced fine dust sampler, which determines the concentration of particulate matter of size less than 2.5 micron in atmosphere. It has been specifically designed to comply with EPA reference method for determination of PM2.5, as published in Federal Register 40 CFR Part 50 Appendix L. (update May 1, 2002 ).
Construction
Model PEM-ADS 2.5micron comprises an improved louvered inlet, a WINS impactor, a filter holder for 47mm dia. filter, intelligent flow and temperature monitoring and regulating systems and a barometric pressure measurement and recording system. Flow rate is regulated to +/- 2%. The temperature monitoring system monitors the temperature of the filter as well as the ambient temperature; the temperature control system ensures that the differential is within +/-50C. PEM-ADS 2.5micron utilizes an advanced microprocessor-based technology with non-volatile RAM, LCD display and RS-232 serial interface for computer compatibility. The various parameters and measurements can be transferred to a laptop in the field. Optionally the same can be transferred onto a data memory module for off-field transfer to a PC. Software is also available as an added option for enabling computation of the final results on the PC.
PEM-ADS 2.5micron is user friendly, easy to configure and operate. All the components are housed in a sturdy environmental enclosure, which is designed for outdoor use.
