Application

MODEL PEM-SMK 10 Stack Monitoring Kit is a greatly enhanced version of its predecessor PEM SMK 1. It utilizes a digital electronic manometer and a versatile multifunction electronic module. This makes it compact, lightweight, very user friendly and amenable for programmed automatic sampling. It retains similarity with PEM-SMK 1 in respect of basic applications viz. determination of Stack Gas Velocity, sampling of suspended particulate matter under iso-kinetic flow conditions and gaseous pollutants. 

Construction 

PEM-SMK 10 consists of a control unit, a sampling pump module and the sampling hardware. It also provides an impinger module for sampling of gaseous pollutants. 

The control unit houses the electronic manometer, dry gas meter, rotameters, control valves and a multifunction electronic module, which carries out multiple functions including digital display of various parameters and electronic stopwatch / timer.

The sampling pump module comprises a mono-block dry, rotary vane type pump with 100 LPM (free flow) capacity and is driven by a à ½ hp single-phase motor.

The impinger module, required for gaseous sampling, consists of a thermocole insulated lightweight, fibreglass cabinet, which is capable of accommodating 4 nos. of 125 ml capacity and 2 nos. of 250 ml capacity impingers. The required low temperature is maintained by keeping ice in the module.

The standard accessories include pitot tube, thimble holder, thimble pipe, nozzles, stck thermo-couple and interconnecting hoses etc.
