Polltech Instruments is a leading
organization in India committed to indigenously design, develop &
manufacture advanced, state-of-the-art, microprocessor based
instruments for Air Pollution Sampling & Monitoring. Established in
1989 by two experienced technocrats, Dr P. K. Arora & Mr. S. G.
Belekar, the company over the years has grown & expanded its
activities to develop & manufacture instruments for Pressure &
Flow measurement & calibration, Radioactivity measurement including
Radon, Alpha & Beta Counting Systems, and Condensation Nuclei
Particle Counters etc.
INNOVATIVE & RESEARCH ORIENTED EXPERTISE
Write from its
inception, the company has used the innovation & research
experience of its entrepreneurs who had more that 30 years of research
experience in leading research organizations. Dr. P. K. Arora had 20
years of research experience as Senior Scientist in Bhabha Atomic
Research Centre & developed enviable level of technical expertise
in specialized fields of Chemileminuscent Reactions of Ozone (his Ph.
D. work), Atmospheric Chemistry & development of continuous Gas
Monitors for Ozone, NO/N02, S02, etc. Mr. S. G.
Belekar has had more than 10 years of experience as head of R & D
in development of Gas Chromatography & other analytical
instruments. Due to these expertises, the company has developed a whole
range of innovative & cost effective products in the following

AIR SAMPLING & MONITORING INSTRUMENTS
Polltech's major
thrust area has been development of international quality air sampling
instrument for emission, ambient & work place monitoring. Polltech
is the first to develop & manufacture in India advanced fully
automatic Stack Monitoring Kit for true iso-kinetic sampling of
particulate matter from emission sources. Polltech was first to
introduce High Volume Sampler with constant flow controller using
innovative idea of using movable optical sensor on U-tube manometer
(coupled to blower exhaust orifice). The company also introduced High
Volume Sampler & Resiprable Dust Sampler (PM10) compliance) with
online digital display of STP corrected flow of sampled air &
volume collected.
PRESSURE & FLOW CALIBRATORS
Understanding the
importance of calibration in all field measurements, Polltech was again
first to develop & manufacture a wide range high accuracy, digital
instruments for measurement of pressure & flow specifically suited
for air pollution sampling instruments.
SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS
Due to long
association with BARC, the company has developed specialized
instruments for Research & other application for DAE units such as
CAT, Indore, IGCAR Kalpakkam & UCIL.., Jaduguda etc. These include
Aerosol Generator, Automatic Particle Counters, Spark Counter for
Indoor Radon, Alpha, Beta & Radon Counting Systems etc.
OEM & OTHER PRODUCTS
The company's
policy has been to support indigenous technology & therefore it has
always shared its technical expertise to design & manufacture
products for OEMs.
CALIBRATION SERVICES
Polltech provides
Calibration Services at site for calibrating various parameters of
Pressure. Flow & Temperature of different air sampling instruments
using highly accurate & certified digital calibrators with
tracibility to NPL, New Delhi. These services are particularly useful
for certified ISO 9000 & 14000 companies.
